BCF-CC Partners
Through the Canada-Alberta Building Canada Fund - Communities Component (BCF-CC), the Government of Canada, the Government of Alberta, the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association (AUMA), and the Alberta Association of Municipal Districts and Counties (AAMDC) are working in partnership with Alberta municipalities to improve and renew public infrastructure across the province.
Government of Canada
Infrastructure Canada works with its partners to meet the evolving infrastructure needs of Canadian communities and to support the quality of life of Canadians through a variety of programs, including BCF-CC. The department leads national infrastructure initiatives in the form of research, policies and programs. Infrastructure Canada oversees BCF-CC negotiations on behalf of the Government of Canada.
Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) helps the West to develop its full economic potential through a variety of programs and services, tailored to the region's own particular strengths, needs, and opportunities. By managing and implementing BCF-CC in Alberta on behalf of the Government of Canada, WD is helping to ensure that western Canadian communities have the municipal infrastructure to meet their development needs.
Government of Alberta
Alberta Transportation works with its partners to contribute to Alberta’s economic prosperity and quality of life through the provision and support of effective and safe transportation and environmentally safe water, and wastewater infrastructure. Alberta Transportation oversees the BCF-CC Program on behalf of the Government of Alberta.
Municipal Associations
Alberta Urban Municipalities Association (AUMA) represents all villages, towns, and cities in Alberta and works on their behalf to support and enhance strong and effective municipal governance. AUMA's presence as a BCF-CC partner brings an increased municipal perspective and ensures a direct communication channel with municipal governments.
Alberta Association of Municipal Districts and Counties (AAMDC) represents all municipal districts and counties in Alberta and works on their behalf to support and enhance strong and effective municipal governance. AAMDC’s presence as a BCF-CC partner also brings another municipal perspective and ensures a direct communication channel with municipal governments.
